Refund Policy

Try before you buy — the free plan has no time limit and no card. If you do pay and change your mind quickly, here is exactly where you stand.

Effective 23 October 2026 Version 1.0 Prices in INR, exclusive of GST
The short version. First paid subscription: full refund within 7 days if you have used less than 20% of your plan's monthly quota. After that, cancel and keep access to the end of the period — we do not pro-rate. Duplicate or failed charges are always refunded in full.

1. The 7-day cooling-off window

If you buy a paid plan for the first time and decide within 7 days that it is not right for you, we refund the subscription fee in full, provided you have used less than 20% of that plan's monthly quota (audits, API calls, exports and tracked-keyword refreshes counted together). This exists so you can evaluate the product properly without feeling trapped.

We ask the usage condition because IndiRanker's costs are incurred when we run queries. A refund after an agency has pushed 40,000 API calls through a one-month plan is not a refund of an unused service. Your usage is always visible on the billing page, so there is no guesswork about where you stand.

The cooling-off window applies to your first purchase only, not to renewals or upgrades.

2. Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically. We send a reminder email 7 days before each renewal so there is no surprise charge. If a renewal catches you out, contact us within 7 days of the charge and, provided the new period has not been materially used, we will refund it.

To avoid future renewals, cancel from the billing page at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and your access continues until then.

3. Partial periods

We do not pro-rate refunds for the unused part of a billing period. If you cancel mid-month, you keep the service until the period ends. This is stated at checkout so you know before you pay.

The one exception is an annual plan cancelled within the 7-day window, which is refunded in full subject to the usage condition above.

4. Duplicate and failed charges

If you are charged twice for the same period, or charged after cancelling, we refund the erroneous charge in full, whenever it is discovered. If a payment fails but the amount still leaves your account, it is usually an authorisation hold released by your bank within 5–7 working days; if it does not clear, send us the transaction reference and we will chase it.

5. GST on refunds

Where a refund is approved, we refund the base subscription amount plus the GST we collected, and issue a credit note against the original tax invoice. Your GSTIN, if provided, is referenced on the credit note so your accounting reconciles. Refunds are returned to the original payment method; we cannot redirect them to a different card or bank account.

6. How to request a refund

  1. Email billing@indiranker.com from the address on the account.
  2. Include your invoice number (found on the billing page) and a sentence on why you are asking.
  3. We acknowledge within 2 working days and decide within 7 working days.
  4. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 working days; how quickly it appears depends on your bank or card issuer.

We do not require you to justify a first-purchase refund beyond confirming it is within the window and usage condition. We may ask a question or two so we can fix whatever did not work.

7. What we do not refund

8. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under Indian consumer-protection law. If you believe a charge is unfair, you may raise a grievance with us first and, if unresolved, with the appropriate consumer forum. We would rather fix it directly — write to us before escalating.
